Stardom yet to happen: Abhishek Bachchan

Being born to Bollywood legend – Amitabh Bachchan is the fortune of Abhishek Bachchan being blessed with. The larger than life personality of Big B and the unmatchable experience in acting has always been a help for Junior B in terms of guidance and shaping up his career. But at the same time his aura has proven to be a tragedy when Abhishek faces comparison of his work with Father.
Although Abhishek has not enjoyed the position of Superstar in Bollywood, his performance in few movies like ‘Yuva’, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ and ‘Guru’ has touched the hearts of audience and his fans. As a personality, Junior B is simple and knows his limitations; he pays immense respect to his seniors and his fellow co-stars.  Sharing more interesting chapters of his personality and his upcoming movies, he gets candid with Sakhi in an interview.
The success of Rohan Sippy’s directed ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ has proven to be the savior of Abhishek Bachchan’s career graph.  The film traders were even saying that if the movie would have failed to create number at box office, Abhishek’s career graph might have sunk drastically.
The movie business is such that with the release of movies on every Friday it is also important for actors to prove their credibility with successful movies at short intervals to sustain and maintain their market value and their position as one of the favorites of audience. There is no specific tool to measure how popular the star is amongst the audience.
But it is believed that when the demand and popularity of the star is sinking in the market then the number of movies and advertisements offered also starts dropping.
Keeping this mind, Abhishek Bachchan is considered to be one of the popular products in the market. After every other day we can see him endorsing some or the other products on television; or he can be seen on the cover pages of the magazines.
At present, he is shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Players’ in Russia. Soon after that he will start shooting for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Bol Bachchan’. Then the big brand like ‘Dhoom 3’ has already became talk of the town, where Abhishek’s character ‘Jay Dixit’ has to chase Aamir Khan who will be playing a thief in the movie. Looking at this, there is a high possibility for journalists who were ready to criticize the actor through their writings, will have to re-frame their articles.
In Film Industry it is only the success which is the survival mantra.  People have forgotten that the talent and effort are also an integral part of the way to success.
