Beardies certainly are an attractive breed when they are well cared for.  But imagine the amount of time it takes to keep them looking that way.  Also think about the fact that they are dogs (and some are like Pigpen – see below) and no matter how hard you try to keep them looking good, a long coat. at the mercy of weather conditions, can be a challenge.  Beardies are therefore not the best choice for someone who keeps an impeccable house or who likes white carpet.
